Training is held throughout the week at Newcastle-under-Lyme School, ST5 1DB, and new members are always welcome to come along at any point. Some sessions will move to our new pitch at Trentham Academy later in the 2023-24 season.

The club runs training sessions for our Men's, Ladies and Junior sections. Training is covered in the standard membership fee, with the exception of an additional bolt on for Talent Centre Junior Performance sessions.

Training days and times are as follows:

Mondays - Junior Training & Back to Hockey
6-7pm: u8s & u10s (School Years 2-5)
6-7pm: Back to Hockey
6-7:15pm: Girls u12s (School Years 6 & 7)
7-8:30pm: Girls u14s Development & Girls u14s Talent Centre (School Years 8 & 9)
7:15-8:30pm: Boys u12s (School Years 6 & 7)

Tuesdays - Men's Training
6:30-8pm: Men's Club Training (Men's 3s-6s)
7:30-9pm: Men's Performance Training (Men's 1s & 2s)

Wednesdays - Ladies Training
6:30-7:45pm: Ladies Club Training (Ladies 2s - Ralphsie & Ladies 3s - Jim)
7:30-9pm: Ladies Performance Training (Ladies 1s)

Thursdays - Talent Centre Training
6-7:30pm: Boys u14s Development & Boys u14s Talent Centre (School Years 8 & 9)
7:30-9pm: Boys & Girls u16s and u18s (Talent Centre, School Years 10-13)

Our Men's coaching setup is currently being finalised for the 2023-24 season.

Our Ladies are coached by the superb Sarah Ralphs "Ralphsie", who has a vast array of experience coaching at National League level with Cannock and in numerous high-level England Hockey environments. Former Ladies Head Coach Jim Venn remains heavily involved as Assistant Coach.

Our junior coaching is led by a range of coaches, with Kevin Heath, Sarah Ralphs and Dave Washington leading the performance sessions, whilst a wide team of coaches are involved across the junior section.
