North Stafford Hockey Club are incredibly proud to continue to host our Jack Dulson Hockey Camps in conjunction with the Jack Dulson Memorial Fund.
On Wednesday 26th October we hosted our most recent Jack Dulson Hockey Camp, providing a full free day of coaching to local juniors who have never played hockey before or only at school.
Almost 50 juniors attended our most recent camp, one of the largest we have run yet, many of whom were picking up a hockey stick for the very first time. One of our key aims as a club is to promote hockey across the area and give more opportunities for youngsters to play hockey.
This follows on from running six days of camps over the summer, which engaged in excess of 100 different players. Each of these were led by Kevin Heath and supported by club coaches and junior coaches from across the club. These are also a great chance to develop the coaching skills of our own junior members who act as brilliant role models for participants.
These camps are not possible without the support of the Jack Dulson Memorial Fund, which we are greatly appreciative of. To find out more about this fantastic local charity, please visit: https://jackdulsonmemorialfund.org.uk/
Head of Junior Hockey and camp organiser Dave Washington said: "We are very proud of our outreach programme and the opportunities that this provides youngsters. It is an honour to work with the Jack Dulson Memorial Fund and promote Jack's legacy in such a positive way. We hope that these camps give the chance for people to pick up a hockey stick who otherwise never would do, and encourage people to develop a lifelong love of our brilliant sport."
The club looks forward to hosting more of these free camps in the future, so keep your eyes peeled for more opportunity to get involved.
