The Men's 1st XI have a long history of competing in the top divisions in the Midlands, and currently play in Midlands Division 1. The aim moving forward is to push for promotion back to Midlands Premier and in the long term develop a squad that is capable of reaching the National Leagues for the first time in the club's history.

2019/20 was a year of rebuilding and the side finished 9th in Midlands 1, whilst they made a promising start to the curtailed 2020/21 season. In 2021/22, the Men's 1st XI was one of the youngest in the Midlands, reglarly fielding eight u18s. The side finished 7th in Midlands 1.

We are always on the lookout for new players to join our performance squad, whilst we are proud that a number of juniors have developed through the ranks to play key parts in this young squad, with others then moving on to top hockey playing universities.

The side are coached by former National League player Ben Read and captained by club stalwart Ollie Adams.
